Pupil Premium Statement
The 'Pupil Premium' is an allocation of additional funding provided to schools, with the purpose of supporting specific groups of children who are vulnerable to possible underachievement. This includes children who are currently entitled to Free School Meals (FSM) or who have been in the last six years (Ever6), those who are looked after by the Local Authority (LAC) or adopted from Local Authority care and children of armed services personnel. The intended effect of this funding is to accelerate progress and raise attainment.
At Hale Academy, the Pupil Premium funding is carefully targeted to create and enhance further learning experiences for all children. All activities are based on a thorough evaluation of what 'next steps' must be taken to increase opportunity and maximise experiences for the children. Additionally most activities are linked to current school development priorities.
If your child does not receive Free School Meals, but may be eligible because of your family's income levels, please contact the school office (in confidence) to register them. Even if you do not wish to take up the offer of the free meal provision, the school may be able to claim Pupil Premium funding that could then be used to support your child.
